The BPI is the representative voice for independent and major record labels in the UK.  It champions recorded music, safeguarding the rights of its members and of the artists, performers and label members of collecting body PPL.

 

BPI organises The annual BRIT Awards show, The Mercury Prize for 'Album of the Year' and the Classic BRIT Awards show. BPI co-owns The Official Charts in a joint venture with the Entertainment Retailers Association (ERA).
